Currently designed by the icon of Canadian and international architecture, Moriyama & Teshima Architects. of Toronto, the Experiential Innovation and Technology Centre - EITC will be $500 million  showcase of the most advanced environmental and building sciences. EITC will also showcase the technologies that are being developed by EITC tenants and partners. 

Fully self-sufficient in terms of energy generation and water treatment, EITC will contain customizable wet and dry laboratories, office space, conference centre, 3D virtual reality theatre and 3D capable presentation/meeting rooms, High Performance Computing Centre,  classrooms, restaurants and public spaces, short and long term  accommodations for 300 visiting scientists and business leaders, fitness centre, medical centre, and underground parking for 1,500 cars.

Envisioned as a unique meeting and working place for global scientific community, a business incubator, and a training facility for business leaders, EITC is dedicated to sharing the achievements of human ingenuity for peaceful purposes.

EITC locationThis is the Research and Technology Park at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, where EITC will be  located. The land (approximately 50 acres) is situated to the right, overlooking the Columbia Lake. 

EITC will be the new home for Hybrid Strategies Corporation. In addition to creating its own Intellectual Property, Hybrid Strategies is the provider of management and scientific services to EITC's clients. Academic services (at the post-graduate level) will be provided by the University of Waterloo and by other top universities not only Canadian but in a global context. The Phase I of EITC will be 100,000 sq. meters of building area (almost one million sq.ft.). Surrounded by water park around laboratories and offices, the buildings take advantage of the beautiful view over the lake and adjacent environmental reserve and forest.
